I just haaad to share this little conversation that I had with hubby yesterday, and I hope it's alright that I share it as a post, but I knew you would all find it funny.
Sorry it's a bit rambly...
So, the conversation went like this...
Me: This past weekend I sold 6 charts and traded 2, on the stash sale blog! Yay me!
Hubby: Oh? That's great...
Imagine hubby with his face in the laptop
Me: I made $32
Hubby: Uhuh, yep
Still looking at laptop
Me: I'm gonna save it for when I see stash I want
Hubby finally looks up and at me...
Hubby: Wait, how much did you make?
Me: $32!
I smile proudly while thinking of how fast I can type 123stitch.com
Hubby: Well now, wait, how much did you pay for those charts originally?
My dear ever practical hubby, or as we call him...Mr. Due Diligence
Me: A bit more than I sold them for...
Hubby: Hmm, how much did you knock off?
Me: about 50%, I wasn't looking to make a profit, just thin out my stash
Hubby: So really you lost $32
Me: Well no, not exactly, YOU lost $32, but I made profit of $32
blink..blink..blink
Hubby: Uhuh, well ok, it doesn't work that way in the real world, but whatever works for you in your world :)
Me: Thanks honey
That's my story and I'm sticking to it ;)
Gotta love husbands, especially those who look the other way when we do lose more than we gain financially with all of our stash and needfuls, but who love us enough to want us to enjoy our creativity and relaxation...not to mention the patience that we gain for sports on tv, when we have a WIP in our hands.
I can watch Nascar for hours, when I am stitching.
Thanks for this ramble

Karyn, I think this post is very appropriate to post here. It represents what all of us go thru while trying to explain to DH just what is going on in our little world and how it makes us happy. DH's just do not understand needlework economics....no how....no way...and they never will.
Thanks for posting this!!!
